Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been a director, actress as well as a producer, playwright, and teacher for St. Thomas University. Her father hails from Britain as does her mother, who is an "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's first memories of attending rehearsals for play and observing her mother at her job. In her early years Anna appeared in a number of television commercials. Anna moved in Toronto for her acting to develop. Later, the actress relocated Los Angeles. Anna met Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an acting workshop held in Los Angeles, and they got engaged in the year 2009. Anna was a convert to the Jewish faith in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. They got wed in a civil ceremony in December that year and then renewed their vows at a Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton on April 11, 2011.
